Conventional Radiology Examinations – Digital Radiography at "ELPIS – Papaioannou"
Radiography is a simple examination that visualizes bone structures or body parts using X-rays. The Radiology Unit at Elpis Clinic performs X-rays across all anatomical regions of the body, including:
- Chest
- Abdomen
- Kidneys – Ureters – Bladder
- Skull
- Sinuses
- Spine
- Bones
- Pelvis – Hips
All digital radiological images are stored electronically in the PACS system and are available to physicians at any time for review and comparative evaluation. Radiology reports are also recorded electronically in the patient's file.
Outpatients receive printed copies of their images.
CT SCANNER
The state-of-the-art CT scanner Revolution Maxima by American manufacturer General Electric Healthcare, equipped with a 128-slice detector, represents a significant leap forward in diagnostic imaging and is now available at our clinic. The GE Revolution Maxima supports a wide range of clinical applications, from emergency medicine and oncology to routine preventive screenings.
The CT scanner at Elpis Clinic performs computed tomography scans across all anatomical regions of the body:
- Brain
- Facial Skeleton
- Neck
- Chest
- Abdomen
- Pelvis
- Musculoskeletal System
As well as a series of specialized examinations:
- CT Coronary Angiography
- CT Angiography
- CT Urography
Pioneering Artificial Intelligence Technology
The Revolution Maxima's Artificial Intelligence automates patient positioning, delivering an enhanced scanning experience. The Auto Positioning system optimizes the patient's position in the scanner, ensuring higher image quality with a reduced radiation dose. It covers a wide range of clinical needs with specialized examination protocols for all ages, from children to adults.
Exceptional Image Quality
Advanced technology detectors produce extremely thin slices with very high spatial resolution.
Radiation Reduced by Up to 82%
The advanced iterative reconstruction algorithm ASIR-V reduces radiation dose by up to 82% while maintaining exceptional image quality. This makes CT scanning suitable even for preventive health screenings. For example, the specialized Low Dose Chest CT protocol enables early detection of lung cancer in high-risk patients, such as smokers.
Extremely Short Examination Time
As an indication, scanning the chest and abdominal area is completed in approximately 10 seconds.
