The Gastroenterology Department of the clinic ELPIS is fully equipped and organized to meet the requirements for a valid diagnosis and effective treatment of diseases of the digestive system.

In our department there is a regular external gastroenterology clinic

Apart from diagnostic examinations (gastroscopy and colonoscopy with chromoendoscopy capability), the Clinic also performs procedures in both simple and advanced interventional endoscopy, such as:

• Endoscopic polypectomy of the upper and lower digestive tract
• Mucosidectomy
• Endoscopic haemostasis of bleeding ulcers
• Esophageal varicose vein drainage
• Endoscopic removal of foreign bodies
• Dilatation of digestive strictures
• Endoscopic gastrostomy placement
• Endoscopic ligation of esophageal varices

Both diagnostic endoscopies, gastroscopies and colonoscopies as well as invasive techniques are always performed under sedation in order to be completely painless.

Also, in the gastroenterology clinic there is the possibility of treating all diseases of the gastrointestinal system.

It is worth noting the particular experience in both the diagnosis and hospitalization of patients with idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease).
